pirates have always been a much-loved and frequent source of inspiration in fashion. it's partly the mystique, it's partly the rebellion, it's partly the debauchery and... well they're just plain badass. the english term "pirate" is derived from the latin term pirata, and ultimately from greek peira "attempt, experience". travel and adventure are the key to the pirate's inspiration and energy.

Your so right, there is something so rebelliously gorgeous about pirates. The world just wouldn't be quite as fun without the likes of Jack Sparrow! Now he is one trendy pirate! Love the bridal pirates you have on your blog.
